-(here i want the camera to be blury at beginning then when it says clear, to focus.)

-(this part I want a couple sitting on a field surrounded by dandys, then I want them hugging and kissing and laughing, and walking around hand in hand, looking like they’re in love and bestfriends.)

Why do all good things come to an end?]

-(this scene will be of a dark room and a red candle with a flame, then next to it there will be a picture of the couple left next to the candle and then a gust of wind whilst the candle flame blows out and the camera gets closer to the smoke off the flame, whilst this is happening clips of the transformation of the relationship will be playing.)

basically this i want to happen in the music video, the whole video as it is a promotional video will only be about 35-45 seconds.

These are my first initial thoughts, they may change if I think of anything which would look better.

SYMBOLISM! The history and how i've used symbolism in my end product

I think symbolism is important in music videos, because it shows and changes feelings and emotion. Symbolism can manipulate the mind into feeling the emotions the the symbols represent. Music videos about 'love' all have some extent of symbolism, they make you feel a certain way due to the images used with the words. In my music promo I am going to show this, through the use of symbolism and how it manipulates peoples emotions. Symbolism is something that is becoming more and more popular, and so are love songs, the majority of music in the modern pop charts are about love and the deterioration of love and relationships. I will incorporate symbolism in my music promo to show how i interpret the lyrics of this song. I will be using a dead tree to symbolise the deterioration of the relationship. A candle which represents the flame in their relationship which blows out and the camera angles will all be done in a symbolistic way. Tom(male actor) will hold Rebecca(female actress)  up in the air with her head towards the clouds, him feet will remain on the ground. 'keep your feet on the ground when your heads in the clouds' this shows how rebecca is head over heels for this boy, she is blinded by what he actually is because of love, whereas Tom has his feet firmly on the ground, he is not blinded by love. I am going to use symbolism in a way where it shows what people are thinking in their minds, showing things they can not say.




Symbolism was largely a reaction against naturalism and realism, anti-idealistic styles which were attempts to represent reality in its gritty particularity, and to elevate the humble and the ordinary over the ideal. Symbolism was a reaction in favour of spirituality, the imagination, and dreams.

CHANGE OF BRIEF! WHY?

I originally decided to do the: 2 television adverts for a new product and  radio advert.
Over the space of time i realised how difficult this would become, I decided to change my brief to one that suited me more as a person and i could show my creative, media eye a lot more. Although I do realise that due my choice to change briefs at this later date, I will need to work extra hard, but I am more than confident that I will be successful and I feel I already feel more comfortable that I will be proud of my final piece of media. My new chosen brief is, a music promo. I found that with a promotional music video, i can involve a lot of symbolism, which is key.

Location Hunting has been solely in public places so permisions have ben explored but not sought.

The Academy Photo permissions includes all students in the Academy and only students who have evidence of signing this pro-forma will be used in Photo/Film shots (as this is nearly 97% percent of Students at the Academy my pool for Models and Actors will be significant.

• Technical considerations regarding health and safety are minimalised as the majority of shooting will be completed on;
• Sunny days therefore filming in the dark will not be an issue
• All shots be be handheld there fore safety around cables not an issue
• All locations are away from the busy roads

I did however need to check the tidal information to maximise the impact and time for my film shoot

Due to the  location I chose I did not need any permission to film, because it was out-doors,  because I was filming on the beach I had to check the tide times for safety.
I also checked the weather to make sure it was sunny so the sand would be safe to walk on.

I filled out a permission slip that allowed me to film everyone from 6th form to year 7.
